St. Louis Coalition on Addictions

David Patterson – Does race matter in substance use disorder treatment services?

The St. Louis Coalition on Addictions is an NCADA program that brings together individuals concerned about addiction. It provides a forum for networking, for learning and advocacy about the use and abuse of alcohol and other drugs, and for discussion of other addictions. Participation is open to anyone interested in the prevention and treatment of addictions.

Lunch is provided free of charge (courtesy of Alkermes, Inc.)

One CEU contact hour certificate is available for $5.00.

Speaker Bio:

Dr. David PattersonDr. David A. Patterson Silver Wolf, associate professor, joined Washington University in St. Louis’ Brown School in 2012. Dr. Patterson has over 15 years of experience in providing clinical, addiction-related services and is currently a Faculty Scholar in the Washington University Institute for Public Health, Faculty Director of Native Communities in Center for Social Development and Faculty Director with the Collaboration on Race, Inequality, and Social Mobility in America. He investigates best practice implementation in human services systems along with health and wellness issues in American Indian, underrepresented/underserved communities.

Dr. Patterson Silver Wolf also is the owner of Wolf-Fire LLC, a health and wellness business that provides general organizational consulting, research/grant evaluations, staff development training and assistance with implementing empirically supported services.
